One of the instrumental places of the filming of the movie, this was very well done. The host on the drive was very informative. The stops along the tour were very welcome, with the highlight being able to walk around part of the property at the barn…. Appreciating that those residing on the property were not there when the film was made, there was open hospitality and time to stand in a place that went beyond the location of a film having been made. The opportunity to have been a guest to this wonderful part of Pennsylvania is much appreciated.
We had plenty of time to visit the farm and have a few photo opts at the covered bridges.
Our driver was very well versed in the movie and the Amish land. He did a superb job driving and talking! I would recommend this tour to anyone.
WOW, What more can I say except that my stay was not long enough… My next trip to Pennsylvania will be for at least a week, not counting driving time. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Our tour guide was most knowledgeable, was very pleasant. Even though original owners had sold the farm (they were "English"), an amish family now own it. When we stopped at the farm the children came out to greet us selling us drinks and snacks. After a while the mom came out to greet us too, told us she has 9 kids. The countryside is beautiful... had a great time seeing where movie was filmed. Air conditioned bus was good for this 2-1/2 hr tour, loved everything
We had a wonderful tour of the farm where Witness was filmed as well as the surrounding area including several covered bridges. Despite the rain, we were able to see the summer kitchen where some of the move was filmed as well as other parts of the property while being respectful of the homeowners. I've been to Lancaster many times, and this was a great way to see the off the beaten path parts of the area.
My husband and I took the Witness Tour. It was a 2 hour bus trip around the Amish countryside and then a tour of the farm used in the movie, Witness. IT WAS AWESOME. The bus driver was very informative. The Amish family was very helpful with information about the filming of the movie. We had a great time and would recommend this tour to anyone.
