What People Say About
Amish Farmlands Tour

One Stop for Awesome Amish Experience! I booked this deal for my Mom (70+) and myself. We did the 3-way experience ticket. I can honestly say that I don't know where you can get more information about the Amish people and their customs! I have been to the area several times, even purchased a book or two, and learned more in 2 hours on the bus tour than hours spent reading and researching. The stops we made were enjoyable. The house tour was also outstanding --- lots of facts and information. I highly recommend this package, and I will definitely do it again, on my next visit.

Great tour! At first I was a bit skeptical, but the tours were really great. The farmlands tour I would highly recommend. I thought it was a bit pricey at first, but it was well worth it. We went on Sunday, so we thought we wouldn't see anything good, but we actually passed by an Amish church service (we didn't go in or anything) but it was really neat to see. All tour guides had great recommendations for other things we could do. One of them even had Amish friends and she was really great as well. Good for first time visitors to the Amish country.

The road awaits..Amish Farmlands Tour

A must do if you're in the Lancaster area. We loved the bus tour. It was a comfortable air-conditioned bus. The bus tour took us to back roads that we would never have traveled on. We went on a Saturday so we were able to see people working their mules in the fields and women working in their gardens. The tour bus guide gave us a lot of information and let us stop and buy flowers from an Amish farmer, an unscheduled stop on the tour. We stopped at a few gift shops and a bakery- I got the sampler of baked goods. Delicious! There was also a wine tasting near the end of the tour. I'm glad we did it.

Our guide stepped onto our tour bus with a question. Did we want the tour as described or did we want an adventure? All 6 of us yelled "Adventure!" He then drove our tour bus over back roads between fields of corn, a schoolhouse, and a covered bridge. He explained the culture many of us were witnessing for the first time. He stopped the bus at a farm store and shared the seasoned pretzels. We were offered home-made rootbeer and blackberry juice. He was an amazing resource and eager to stop the bus to allow us to capture all that we saw with our cameras. The Homestead tour was also incredible! Being able to walk from room to room made it easy to imagine life on a daily basis within the well-constructed walls. And I can't even imagine preparing a home for the community church service! Each person we met on these tours provided incredible knowledge while also answering our many questions. The entire atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We loved it more than we thought was possible!

Amish Experience was terrific and well worth the money paid! Our guide was excellent as was our entire experience. I would recommend the Amish Experience to anyone.

We participated in three areas of the Amish Experience: VIP bus tour (1.5 hrs), "Jacobs Choice" movie (40 mins) and tour of a typical Amish home (45 mins). I learned so much more than I expected on the tour and the stop at a dairy farm was enlightening as was the stop at a craft store located on a farm. Would recommend that to anyone! The movie was well done and lent understanding to the issues that young men born into the Amish culture must face; I can't say that I got the impression that the young women were allowed the period of freedom the young men get. Again, well worth the time. The tour of the house was interesting, but way too many people packed into a small space for it to be enjoyable. A smaller crowd would enhance this learning experience considerably. After our day of the Amish Experience, the buggies, the scooters and the dress of the locals meant much more than they otherwise would have. The lushness of the area is extordinary and the friendless of all residence a welcome experience. We will return!

Enlightening! The trip was fantastic! The tour length was perfect for learning about the Amish, as well as having time to shop a bit...the wine tasting was a wonderful ending! We had dinner at Plain & Fancy, family-style, and we totally loved it...the food was fantastic.

So many sights around every turn in Amish Country!Fascinating tour. I would definitely recommend it! The tour on the bus was informative and interesting. Anyone can drive in their car around the Amish farmlands; however going on the bus with a tour guide was much more informative. The guide told us a lot of interesting facts that we otherwise would not have known.

Very Good Overview of Amish Life. Given we only had one afternoon, this was a great way to get a real feel for the Amish and their way of life. At first I thought it might be hokey, or designed to get us to buy stuff, but I was proven wrong. All the stops contributed to the overall experience and offered trusted sources for souvenirs. I'm local and was escorting foreign visitors -- I will do this tour again for future visitors.

We had a great time on the tour. Love the guide, she was very knowledgeable. We also love the Multimedia Presentation on Joseph. It gave me a better understanding of what struggles the Amish People go through. I wished I had as much faith as they have.

What a fantastic day I had at the Amish experience. Being from Perth, Australia, it was so vastly different to anything I had seen before. The people were so friendly and the coach driver was so fantastic. I loved every minute of the day and would highly recommend this day to everyone.

My sister was visited me and she had never been to Lancaster County. We did an overnighter and both of us were totally delighted with the tour. The tour directors were knowledgeable and friendly and answered all our questions. The movie was great. The Amish business and shop were visited were both fantastic. Friendly, friendly people thoughout the tour. I will do it again when introducting someone to Lancaster County and the Amish way of life. Price was in line with today's costs.

Fantastic! I grew up in PA about an hour and a half from the Amish Country, and passed through the area many, many times. Until now, I had never taken a guided tour, and it was worth every penny. The guides were so full of interesting facts you would never hear about unless you took a tour. Both ladies were wll-informed and extremely pleasant. There were 10 ladies in our group and each one enjoyed it immensely.

Great experience. I think the Farmland Tour was a great idea. Our first thought was to get a map and drive around Amish Country alone. Boy, am I glad we didn't. The tour took us to stops that we would have never made on our own, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and made our tour wonderful. We are so glad we took the tour, and would recommend it to anyone that will be visiting the area.

We came all the way from Mexico to PA for 2 weeks and definitely these Amish tours were a great experience!!!! We loved the tour into the farms watching the people working their lands, the kids in schools, the cows and mules, the shops..... and what it makes it more enjoyable is John, the conductor who knows and explains very well the Amish life. Congratulations!!!!!! Hope we can repeat this experience again.

Very Informative Tour. The guide made the entire trip both informative and fun. We learned much about the culture of the Amish including their dress, religion, daily routines, relationship with their "English" neighbors, and their reaction to tourists and other outsiders. We highly recommend this tour. We have taken others but this was the best.
