WHY THE AMISH EXPERIENCE?

We are the only Amish attraction in Lancaster County approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education's Act 48, and the only Amish house tour to receive the prestigious "Heritage Site" designation, based on strict authenticity and interpretive requirements. These are not claims we make but rather certification by experts who value the educational value of our product. We are proud of and committed to always meriting these honors. We have hosted tens of thousands of students, and many on our staff are former teachers. We offer the area's best Amish study guide, prepared in collaboration with local educators.

The package price for the AMISH TRAILS tour package (allow 4 hours) for student groups of 25 or more, whether teacher, chaperone or student is $12.00 per person in 2008. This includes the F/X Theater show, Amish house tour and step-on guided farmlands excursion on board your bus. Pricing for just the Theater and Homestead combination is $7.95 (allow 90 minutes). Prices for the individual attractions, other combinations, the Old and the MOO, One Room to Rumspringa, and Kids Amish Country Cookin' Tours are also available. We are able to offer one complimentary teacher or chaperone (per bus or group of 25 persons or more). Drivers are always our guests. More than half of the group must be students to qualify for student rates. Meal options can be viewed by clicking Student Meal. During the Spring, school bookings are heavy and we suggest making reservations as early as possible, although we will always try to accommodate "last minute" requests. We are open to host school groups daily year-round.

Upon receipt of your School Day Reservation Form via e-mail, we will contact you concerning the date, activities, timing, and pricing desired for your trip. Then, we will send you a confirmation to sign and return to us, allowing us to reserve the date and time of the Amish Experience for your school group. Allow approximately four hours, without meal, from beginning to end for the complete Amish Experience.

The Amish Experience Theater's "Jacob's Choice" was co-produced by the founder of one of Pennsylvania's top events, the glorious Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire held each summer and early fall in nearby Manheim. The Faire has enjoyed one of the most successful school programs of any attraction or living history site in the country. As is true of all Renaissance Faire produced school programs, valuable study guide materials for the Amish Experience are supplied upon request at the time of booking for both pre and post field trip planning purposes.
